I’ve been going to Trustworthy Tattoo since 2019, and every tattoo I have has been done by Shawn Patton — two full sleeves and a full chest piece. That alone should say a lot. Shawn is incredibly talented, professional, and consistent, and he takes real pride in his work. The shop is always clean and comfortable, and the experience is just as solid as the artwork itself. Shawn is also just a genuinely good dude, which makes long sessions easy and enjoyable. The quality of his tattoos speaks for itself. I drive an hour and a half just to get tattooed by him, and it’s absolutely worth it every single time. Highly recommend Trustworthy Tattoo to anyone looking for top-tier work.

Highly recommend to any person new or old in the tattoo world looking for a unique experience. I traveled here to be tattooed by Shawn and the shop was instantly a win in my eyes. It doesn’t feel like someone trying too hard and the artists have no hard selling points. A lot of shops in Portland feel that way. I wasn’t made to feel out of place here. I love the decor. The layout. The color scheme. They really made such a genuinely comfortable shop that feels like home. The location is perfect. The parking lot, the little grass area. It’s all so cute. Now let’s move on to the artists. Shawn and Josh both radiate talent from every pore. Each with their own style but willing to work with whatever you bring them. Check their portfolios and don’t be surprised if you fall in love quickly. Each artist talks with respect and knowledge and the shop is filled with hearty laughter from Shawn and quick tidbits of knowledge of all sorts from Josh. Their social media has also been top notch since the move. You can see all the love they’re putting into the place and giving it 100% of their heart and effort. Trustworthy will be forever a go to when I’m visiting NEOH.

My wife and I met Shawn Patton in 2015 and, although we live an hour away, we have followed him to three different shops and four locations since. In that time, I have gotten 50+ hours of tattoos done by him, and my wife has over 20 hours of tattoos done by him. We have come to him with many different designs and styles throughout the years, and he has far exceeded our expectations every single time! His work also truly stands the test of time as pieces we got done by him in 2015 still look as fresh today as they did back then. Beyond his artistic ability and tattoo skills, Shawn always makes sure that it is a good experience when getting tattooed. His shop is clean, he always makes sure you are comfortable, and he is just an overall pleasant person to deal with. I truly enjoy the hours of conversation we have during our tattoo sessions. I could not more highly recommend Shawn and Trustworthy Tattoo!
